In today’s installment we have a pretty black Fiat 500 that proves you can use “lowered car” and “tasteful” in the same sentence.
While borrowing a number of visual elements from the stance scene, this car manages to keep things classy by not going to the extreme. It’s low, but not too much. The tires are delicately stretched with straight sidewalls, but don’t run afoul of either common sense or the province’s strict vehicle modification laws. And while I’m not a huge fan of those wheels, the Thule rack is a classic touch.
Overall, the effect is superb. A shining example of how to do things right.

Good find. Amazing what happens when you just dial everything back a bit. Love the roof rack.

That look is rather befitting an Abarth

I had a chance to drive a lowered Abarth. The handling was amazing, but you felt Every.single.pebble on the road.

Stretched connot go in the same context as classy. That being said that is a tastefully modified car.

The wheels look like enkei 92s. I love enkei 92s. The retro wheels work well on a retro styled new car.

This is a regular 500, I imagine it’s maybe a little smoother?

Maybe, but I have a Pop myself, and while it’s pretty good for a small car, the lack of wheel travel and a short wheel base will always dictate how smooth the ride can be. Still looks cool though.
Also. judging by the back bumper, that one is the sport model. The Pops don’t have that air vent on them.

I was looking at it the pictures again, and the tires are cheap-brand “Goodride” tires and I’m guessing those are heavy steel wheels as well. Most likely it’s not the most comfortable ride, but it does look really great.

I have to wonder if he upgraded his brakes to deal with the larger wheels.

Mostly likely not.
